1994 – Company formation 1994. Initial concept – to market reinforced grass parking systems manufactured and marketed in Germany by Funke Kunststoffe GmbH.
1997 Golpla Fastlay system (a ‘no-dig’ grass protection system) launched.
2000 Located offices and storage in Houghton-le-Spring.
2000 D-Raintank storm attenuation and soakaway system launched.
2000 Golpla Pre-grown (grass already grown prior to delivery) launched.
2000 ISO 9001.
2001 Appointed main distributors for NAUE Fasertechnik GmbH, Europe’s largest manufacturer of Geotextiles, Geogrids and Geocomposites.
2002 Second distribution point in the South of England, near Basingstoke.
2004 Rootstone combined structure and growing media for grass parking launched.
2004 Deltalok ecological earth retaining wall system launched.
2005 Sempergreen sedum blankets from Holland launched .
2005 D-Rainclean launched.
2005 Launch Truckpave, recycled plastics “Green” heavy duty parking system.2006 Appointed UK and Ireland distributor for Truckpave.

Hoofmark(UK) Ltd specialise in grass reinforcement, erosion control and Stormwater containment and filtration systems..
In 1994, Hoofmark(UK) Ltd introduced the Golpla® Grass Paving System into the U.K. and Irish market, where it is in use by many Government Agencies (i.e. Highways Agency, N.H.S., Dept. of the Environment etc.), as well as local authorities and other high profile users such as the National Trust, English Heritage, Hever Castle, Gleneagles etc. Manufactured in Germany by Funke Kunststoffe Gmbh since 1988, GOLPLA® is now the leading product of its kind and is extensively used across Europe and the Far east.
In 1997 Hoofmark(UK) Ltd devised Fastlay which incorporates Golpla® into a ‘no-dig’ grass protection system.
Hoofmark(UK) subsequently broadened their product range to include the D-Raintank® Stormwater storage and control system, and more recently, the D-Rainclean® surface water run-off filtration system.
Hoofmark are sole UK & Ireland distributors for these products, all manufactured in Germany by Funke Kunststoffe GmbH. Additionally, Hoofmark have been appointed main distributors for NAUE Fasertechnik, Europe’s largest manufacturer of Geotextiles, Geogrids and Geocomposites.
The year 2000 saw the introduction by Hoofmark (UK) of GOLPLA® being sold with fully established grass already grown prior to delivery..
In 2002 Hoofmark(UK) opened a second distribution point in the South of England.
