About Us

At Hoofmark UK Ltd our mission is to aid the Building and Construction Industry to help save the Environment, by supplying a range of quality and innovative products designed to help reduce the environmental impact of necessary groundworks and drainage systems, throughout the UK and Ireland.

To achieve this, we have developed close working relationships with leading manufacturers across the Globe, who are often at the forefront of pioneering research into sustainable products suitable for the environmental market.

Founded by Richard Sykes in 1994, Hoofmark UK Ltd is a family owned concern. Today, the Company is still led by Richard, who has been joined by his daughter Rebecca, and a team that collectively has over 40 years experience in the supply and demand of products to this sensitive and every changing market sector.

Golpla®

In 1994, Hoofmark (UK) Ltd introduced the Golpla® grass paving system into the U.K. and Irish market, where it is in use by many Government Agencies (e.g. Highways Agency, N.H.S., Dept. of the Environment etc.), as well as local authorities and other high profile users such as the National Trust, English Heritage, Hever Castle, Gleneagles etc.

Manufactured in Germany by Funke Kunststoffe GmbH since 1988, Golpla® is now the leading product of its kind and is extensively used across Europe and the Far East. It is SUDs compliant, made from recycled plastic and has been installed in many blue chip locations.

Demarcation chamber

The HS®-Demarcation Control Chamber and HS® VARIO coupler allow quick and easy installation into live drainage systems. The HS®-Demarcation Control Chamber is suitable for inspecting, rodding and jetting and can be air tested within an hour.

Trackcell®

Hoofmark (UK) Ltd Trackcell® is a system for pavement or parking design that offers a solution to a situation where you have a no-dig zone like under a tree canopy.

Trackcell® can also be used over very soft ground where the amount of aggregate required and associated items would be expensive or even where the ground has been contaminated and excavation costs are prohibitive.

Truckpave®

Made from recycled plastic, Truckpave® provides a flexible, heavyweight, permeable parking material, designed as an Eco-friendly alternative to concrete, for areas required to support heavy vehicle loading. Capable of being in-filled with either grass or gravel, Truckpave® is SUDS compliant, and has been tested by TRL on behalf of the highways agency.

D-Raintank®

D-Raintank crates, made from virgin plastic, provide Stormwater Control that can be installed as either an attenuation or soakaway system.

D-Rainclean®

D-Rainclean® provides pollution control of water run-off, removing both the hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, along with heavy metal pollutants like lead, zinc, mercury and cadmium.

Innolet®

INNOLET® has been a huge success for years with many municipalities in Germany for use in street drains. The system cleanses precipitation outflows in a decentralized arrangement, before the water passes into the rainwater sewer or into bodies of surface water.

Geotextiles

Geotextiles are used under several of our products and used to wrap our D-Raintank® attenuation tanks, providing both protection and filtration in a soak away application.
Secutex® is a needle-punched staple fibre nonwoven geotextile for separation, filtration, protection, and drainage. It is manufactured from 100% synthetic fibres for long-term stability.

Neoweb

Earth stabilization material, load support, earth retention, soil erosion, can be used in many applications over several different markets; this material has many cost benefits and in most situations reduces the amount of aggregate required, excavation, muck away, and aggregate tax.

Fabekun®

Unique saddle joints or pipe connectors, that offer a flexible junction 13º in any direction making connections very easy and also 100% watertight, limiting leakage. It is WRC & Water company approved.

VPC® Couplers

The VPC® coupler joins pipes of different wall thicknesses and of different types; plastic to clay or clay to corrugated or a combination of these. Using only seven couplers to cover sizes from 100mm to 690mm o.d. where others types require in the region of 17 different types, along with different bushes or adaptors.

Connex®

Lateral connections can be quickly and simply made to the main sewer on new or existing plastic or steel pipes. Now the junction has an integral adjustable socket allowing movement in all direction from 0º to 11º.

The CONNEX®-Junction complies with the requirements of ATV - DVWK - A 139, according to which "Lateral pipes must be manufactured and connected so that they can allow for movement. Possible settlement and the loadings this can impose in the area of the joint must be allowed for."
