Improving Lawned Vehicle Access to a Popular Event Area in Weston Super Mare 

Challenge

The Beach Lawns in Weston Super Mare is an extremely popular event location playing host to the annual , hugely popular, music event T4 on the Beach plus many other major festivals and as such needs to be able to carry very heavy exhibition traffic together with all related event paraphernalia and the subsequent very heavy and concentrated pedestrian footfall.

North Somerset council required a cost effective and permanent solution to the damage this type of use will inevitably cause.

Blakedown Landscapes SE consulted Hoofmark (UK) Ltd who had encountered similar problems when working with the National Trust and had recently developed Trackcell® a product specifically designed to cope under similar conditions.

Trackcell® is a combination of Hoofmark’s ground reinforcement products designed to provide the required strength of base without detracting from the natural beauty of the area.
