Demarcation Chamber Case Study: David Wilson Homes

The Challenge

To design a Demarcation Chamber that was small enough for today's modern home designs where lots of utilities all need access via the footpaths.

The design also needed to have a flexible riser to allow for different depths; it also needed a HA 400 heavy duty cast iron lid that would withstand HGV traffic and was lockable.

The parameters of the design also needed to allow for inspection via modern cameras and also have the ability to be jetted if blocked. This was achieved with a sweep T junction.

The units were installed by Galtec on behalf of David Wilson Homes and were tested by Wessex Water after a year's trial.

The Demarcation units have been approved by Wessex and are the smallest most flexible units available.
