Golpla® is the leading grass reinforcement product on the market, for use on areas required for car parking, access roads, footpaths, etc.

The foundation required is dictated by prevailing ground conditions, as well as the weight of the vehicles to be carried etc., but will typically consist of a layer of crushed stone followed by a layer of rootzone (sand/soil mix), over which the GOLPLA® is laid and then infilled with topsoil and seeded.

The Golpla® system is permeable and will permit a permanent green sward to be sustained. Golpla® is frequently stone filled, to maintain drainage as well as preventing compaction and migration. Golpla® can be delivered pre-grown with fully established grass for instant effect.

All the major seed houses agree that good grass requires a minimum of 125mm of growth in
which to thrive. Hoofmark uniquely recognise this fact by inclusion of a rootzone layer.

Golpla® - FASTLAY EROSION CONTROL & GRASS REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM

By the introduction of a rigid geogrid under the GOLPLA® pavers, the fastlay system of construction eliminates the need for reduced level excavation, consequent disposal costs and subsequent import of foundation materials. Fastlay achieves all the objectives of the GOLPLA® system, whilst at the same time providing probably the most competitively priced permanent (grass) parking system on the market. Advice as to a particular sites’ suitability must be sought from Hoofmark(UK) Ltd.

Hoofmark(UK) Ltd are able to offer the Golpla® and Fastlay systems with fully established, high quality grass grown prior to delivery. This enables instant, overnight results, immediate use, and from a client’s and contractor’s point of view, a fully completed installation.

Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems is an important initiative, which sets out to effectively manage the natural water cycle, endeavouring, as we must, to control the impact of storm water and at the same time retain more water for our use during prolonged dry periods. Much of this is achieved by returning water to the water table as close as possible to the original catchment by way of storage and infiltration, or, if the ground is impermeable, by storage and a controlled outflow to the mains i.e. attenuation.

D-Raintank® Freeway is a lateral 250mm diameter pipe pre-installed into D-Raintank® to permit through-flow of normal rainfall as well as providing a flushing/jetting facility

If required, we are able to offer a full design service for the use of D-Raintank, either for infiltration or attenuation, utilising FEH and Microdrainage software.

D-Rainclean®

Another important contributor to Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems D-Rainclean® is a drain channel containing filter media for the extraction of hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and other impurities from surface water run-off. The cleansed water then passes through the base of the channel to the water table for reinfiltration or via D-Raintank® for attenuation.

Truckpave - Heavy duty recyclable paver.

Truckpave is the only genuine heavy duty (HGV) and recyclable plastic paver available. Manufactured from recycled plastic, Truckpave competes directly with in situ concrete systems, and unlike concrete, will flex instead of crack. Additionally, as plastic is an insulator, grass growing within the paver will survive much longer periods of hot weather than concrete. Truckpave is suitable for lorry parks, laybys etc.
