Neoweb™ Ground Reinforcement and Green Vegetated Walls

Hoofmark (UK) Ltd Neoweb can be used for green retaining walls and earth retention.
Neoweb increases the strength of fill material by providing apparent cohesion, in granular soil, through confining the material within its webbing. Neoweb load support prevents shear failure and lateral movement of aggregate materials through confinement.
Neoweb can also be used for erosion control and stabilisation of slopes up to 45º. See the Slope Protection & Retention page for more details.
Benefits of Neoweb Ground Reinforcement and Vegetated Retaining Walls

Hoofmark (UK) Ltd Neoweb can provide economic and environmental benefits in ground reinforcement and green retaining walls compared to constructing traditional granular fill in earth stabilisation situations:
- Reduced excavation due to reduced thickness of fill layer
- Reduced cost of disposal off-site (landfill tax)
- Reduced cost of importing granular material (aggregate tax)
- Reduced cost of construction:
- Less material to import and place
- Fewer layers to compact
- Construction plant can use Geoweb construction for access
In vegetated retaining wall systems, the perforations increase root lock-up, creating a more stable vegetated mass and overall healthier soil environment. The perforations allow lateral drainage through the system, thereby enhancing performance of the Hoofmark (UK) Ltd Neoweb™ system in saturated soil conditions for vegetated retaining walls.

Function of Neoweb Earth Stabilisation
Hoofmark (UK) Ltd Neoweb system is a structural fill using granular material with apparent cohesion provided by the confining cells. Load deformation of the granular material is reduced through transferring vertical stresses through the cell structure which then mobilises the hoop strength and passive resistance of the adjacent cells.
