Enabling Transport of Heavy Armoured Vehicles in Difficult Security and Environmental Conditions

Old Approach

An alternative solution involved a regular flexible pavement without structure composed of granular layers with/or without asphalt tapping which would permanently disrupt the environment.

In addition, an installation of this type would require the transport of non-local materials to the security area and ongoing maintenance to strengthen and compress the soil due to constant traffic of heavy vehicles.

Neoweb Solution

The implemented solution involved laying a Neoweb array of 200 mm height on geotextile and infilling the array with sand from local dunes.
